Solution The central bank alone holds sole authority for the issue of currency in the country. All the currency notes are issued by the Reserve Bank of India. Coins and one rupee note are issued by the government of India. All the currency issued by the central bank is its monetary liability. Putting and withdrawing currency into and from circulation is the responsibility of the central bank.
