How to get Great Nutrition at a Reasonable Cost

Earlier this year I started a new job, and my coworkers began to notice a pattern. After just a few weeks, I had already become quite famous for my lack of imagination when it came to lunch options.
“Really? You’re going to eat the same boring sandwich with an apple for lunch every day?”
You bet your ass I am.
I was the oddball who didn’t drink coffee in the morning or an energy drink in the afternoon. I had a thermos of water and my brown bag lunch and that was it.
Nope, I don’t want anything from the store. Nope, I don’t want anything from the restaurant. No thanks. That stuff costs money and I’ve got a plan, damn it.
Here’s the thing: I have a high tolerance for repetition in my diet. I suppose that’s the key to my successful frugality, but I also want to introduce some variety, if only for the sake of making the goal of subsisting on $10/day realistic for regular people who don’t want to eat the same thing day after day.
