The White Coat Investor: A Doctor's Guide to Personal Finance and Investing was written after I had spent over two years blogging on this website, responding to thousands of comments and emails from medical students, residents, practicing physicians, dentists, and other high income professionals. Your trickiest questions and financial dilemmas, believe it or not, are rarely unique, and are shared by thousands of your peers. I decided to put together a high-yield, straightforward, unbiased book to answer those questions and help you wrestle with the dilemmas that don't necessarily have a correct answer. The book turned into a much larger project than I expected, and in many ways was a group project with dozens of regular blog readers collaborating to ensure it will meet your needs.

Written by a practicing emergency physician, The White Coat Investor is a high-yield manual that specifically deals with the financial issues facing medical students, residents, physicians, dentists, and similar high-income professionals.
