An option worth considering if you’re renewing your mortgage is to increase the frequency of your payments. When you do this, more of your payments go towards the principal, meaning you'll pay less interest over the life of the mortgage, and you'll be able to pay it down faster.

But it can go beyond that, including stipulating conditions on when distributions are made and providing additional executor powers to aid them in implementing your wishes. Learn more about the importance of having a Will here.
