Identity Platform serves as the backend for FirebaseAuthentication with Identity Platform and offers identical features. As anupgrade from Firebase Authentication Legacy, Identity Platform offers all of thelegacy features and the following additional capabilities:
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Blocking functions
- OpenID Connect (OIDC) andSecurity Assertion Markup Language (SAML)authentication.
- Multi-tenancy support.
- Identity-Aware Proxy integration.
- BAA coverage.
- A 99.95% uptime SLA.
You do not need to change your apps when upgrading fromFirebase Authentication Legacy to Identity Platform(or Firebase Authentication with Identity Platform)and your app continues to work with existing Firebase services.
Firebase Authentication with Identity Platform is available without a billing instrument up to daily limits.
