Image resolution
A resolution of 600 dpi is ideal for a stamp graphic. We can also process artwork with a lower resolution, but this can lead to a loss of quality (roundings may appear angular or pixelated).
Font size
Our recommendation for most fonts is a minimum of 7pt.
In order to guarantee an exact stamp imprint, your texts should not be smaller than 7 points (reference size Arial 7pt). Avoid Light and decorative fonts with very fine lines.
Line width
For stand-alone lines we recommend a minimum thickness of 0.75pt or approx. 0.3mm. We can produce thinner lines, but these stamp imprints may be unclear or not may not show at all.
Filled areas
Please note that for technical reasons, large printing areas on stamps do not always colour 100% of the area. The imprint will have a classic 'stamp look'. Therefore, avoid large areas and inverse graphics when designing your stamp.
Creating graphics for date stamps
Note the exact dimensions for date stamps, since the date field will be cut out. You can use the entire area without any margin for the design. Refer to Size overview for date stamps for a PDF template with all date stamp models.
