The CDD analyst does not rest until all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. You map out the world of our customers by carefully investigating money flows, company structures and the people in and around these companies. Thanks to you, we know our customers inside out and we can help them realise their ambitions. Or intervene if it appears that our bank is being abused. For example, for money laundering, fraud or terrorist financing.

Financial Economic Crime
From concrete braiding to picking transactions
Ben Kachlon was a self-employed concrete braider for 16 years. As an entrepreneur, he knows the playing field of making revenue and avoiding risk. "Now that I'm on the other side of the table, I notice how important it is to know the boundaries of that playing field. As a CDD analyst, I am constantly talking to SMEs to enable a healthy financial system."
Edwin about working for CDD
Frequently asked questions about working in CDD
As a CDD analyst, you conduct customer research. What activities does the customer's company perform? What risks does that bring for the customer and for the bank? Is there any question of acting with integrity? You have customer contact and build up your own files. The larger the organisations you analyse, the more complex the subject matter and the challenge for you.
You need a higher vocational (HBO) or university (WO) degree, preferably in the field of Business Economics, Law or Criminology. As a mid-level and senior analyst, at least 2 years of experience as a CDD analyst or another analytical position in the financial services industry is a requirement. For a junior position, work experience in the financial sector is a plus.
When you start at Rabobank, you will start with a full-time internal training of 8 weeks to familiarize yourself with the Rabobank way of working. The program is a mix of e-learnings, workshops and practical assignments which you will work on together with 12 to 16 colleagues. After 4 weeks you will start working with real customer surveys.
As a junior analyst, you will start with cases that are simple at the core. These are companies with fairly simple complex organisational structures or activities. You will gain experience with these files in order to be able to take on more complex files. As a medior advisor, you have more experience within the financial services industry and a broader knowledge of various organisational structures and client activities. A senior advisor is very experienced, analyses complex cases and is able to coach and provide feedback to less experienced colleagues.
Absolutely! Within Rabobank, we work together with many different departments, which means that there are also various in-depth disciplines and focus areas.
Rabobank offers extensive training opportunities. For CDD, we develop and deliver our training in-house. In addition, you will have sufficient opportunities to develop and broaden your knowledge through external training courses.
