Missed departure
If your car breaks down, your train gets cancelled or you lose your passport (outside of the UK) and can’t make your departure, we can have you covered. Our cruise upgrade extends the missed departure and connection outside the UK cover to include each port on the cruise itinerary
Cruise interruption
Need hospital treatment on dry land? We'll pay travel and accommodation expenses you incur to reach your next port and re-join your cruise
Missed port
You chose the destinations you want to visit on your cruise with care. If the itinerary has to change and you miss a port, we can help compensate you
Cabin confinement
Being taken ill on board is never nice. For your wellbeing and to prevent others getting sick, the captain may confine you to your cabin. If so, and you miss parts of your planned trip as a result, we can help compensate you for each 24-hour period
Unused pre-booked excursion cover
If an injury or illness confines you to your cabin, you might miss trips you’ve booked. If that happens, we can help you recuperate the costs
Increased personal baggage limits
On a cruise, you may be away for a while and need more in your luggage. We’ve increased the amount we’ll cover for cruises, so go ahead and pack that extra pair of shoes

Cruise cover is a mandatory add-on for travel Insurance that protects against travel risks unique to going on a cruise. These can include becoming unwell at sea or added complications if luggage is lost or stolen. With cruise cover, you pay an extra premium for extra protection in case of such events.

If you’re a going on a cruise you must add our cruise cover upgrade.
Remind yourself how much a cruise holiday costs. It's typically more expensive than a standard trip. A voyage tends to last longer than most holidays too. Cruises carry their own risks and Cruise Cover is there in case the unexpected should happen.
We don’t like to think about what could go wrong, but cruises can have their own, unexpected upsets. Certain things that could happen at sea may not be covered by a standard policy alone and the extra protection is designed specifically to help with cruise-related mishaps.
For instance, getting ill at sea might mean you're treated on board first, then need emergency evacuation back to shore. Cruise insurance is there to help in such circ*mstances.

- 365 days for persons aged up to and including age 70
- 90 days for persons aged between 71 and 75
