Submit an ID for verification
Often, your legal name and address and/or other personal information are enough for us to verify your identity. We may also ask you to provide a copy of your government ID that includes a photo of you.
What if my Airbnb host won't answer? ›
Get help from Airbnb to resolve the issue
If your Host is unable to resolve the issue, doesn't respond at all, or declines your refund request, just let us know, click or tap Get Help from the reservation page. Someone from our team will step in to help resolve the issue.
How do I respond to a response on Airbnb? ›
You need to log into your account via a browser (not using the Airbnb app) to respond to a review.
- Tap Profile > Reviews.
- Tap Reviews you've written.
- Go to the review you'd like to respond to and tap Leave public response.
- Write your response and tap Submit.
How do I update the amenities on Airbnb? ›
- Tap Listings and select the listing you want to edit.
- Under Listing editor, tap Your space.
- Tap Amenities.
- Tap + to add amenities or tap Edit to delete amenities.
- Review, and then tap Done.
Why is Airbnb not verifying my identity? ›
Make sure the info you provide is valid, accurate and up to date. Otherwise, it could take us longer to verify you, or we might need to follow up and request additional info. If you're a guest making a booking – remember to complete verification by the deadline we provide you.

What happens if an Airbnb host does not confirm? ›
If the Host declines your request or lets it expire, you won't be charged and you're free to book a different stay. If you're still interested in booking the Host's place, you can learn more about what to do if your trip request is declined or expires.

After you submit a booking request, the host has 24 hours to accept or decline. If they don't respond, we'll automatically decline the request for you. If you haven't received a host response, try verifying that: You received an inquiry confirmation email from us.
