Who would most likely benefit from taking a CLEP? ›

They can often be used to work through many of the general education requirements four-year colleges and universities typically require. Taking CLEP exams can save you time and money because you'll earn college credit and move through your bachelor's degree program faster.

With a passing score on one CLEP exam, you could earn three or more college credits at 2,900 U.S. colleges and universities.

You start with a 20 (that's the lowest score you can get). So, if there are 120 questions, each question would be worth 1/2 a point. So you need 60 questions right to score a 50.
