How many questions do you need to get right to pass the CCNA? ›

Number of questions: Cisco does not publish an exact number, but expect around 100 questions during the 120 minutes of the exam. Passing score: This is also not published information, but a general rule tends to be around 80% correct answers to pass the exam.

Overall, the CCNA certification is challenging due to the technical complexity, depth and breadth of topics, high standard, time pressure, and continuous updates.

Recertification Fees & Costs for the CCNA Certification

The CCNA exam can be retaken for $300.

You may become CCNA certified by taking and passing only one test, the 200-301 CCNA. The number of questions you will encounter on the exam is not fixed, but it will generally be around 110 to 120. The minimum passing score is around 800-850 out of a maximum score of 1000.

The CCNA 200-301 exam is very difficult and it requires alot of preparation. I remember when I was appearing for this exam i used to study for 4-5 hours which was never enough. Besides the online training, I used to search different sources for information that would help me with exam preparation.

You'll need both theoretical and practical knowledge to pass the CCNA exam. As you prepare for the exam, you should be able to use theoretical information in real-world troubleshooting and networking issues.
