How to change your eToken password
Use these instructions to change your eToken password. Make sure to create a secure password that you can remember, or create a more complex password and store it in a password manager.
Open the Safenet Authentication Client.
In the SafeNet Authentication Client Tools window, click Change Token Password.
SafeNet eToken devices are supplied with the following default token password: 1234567890. IDPrime cards are supplied with the following default token password: “0000” (4 digits). The administrator password must be entered using 48 hexadecimal zeros (24 binary zeros).

Forget Your Password? For security purposes, if you have forgotten your password, the eToken must be returned to the Help Desk in MedIT to reset the password on the token back to the default.
Tokens are shipped from our factory with the default eToken Password 1234567890. The end user must enter this default password the first time s/he logs on to eToken, and then change it to a secure personal password.
e-Token App is a mobile application that generates One Time Passwords (OTPs) used in the authentication of electronic transactions. COST OF TOKEN / CHARGES. The Customer will incur a single charge of N1500 for activation of the e-Token.
The SafeNet MobilePASS+ app automatically generates a new OTP and sends it to the protected resource, which eliminates password fatigue and the need to manually generate and enter OTPs.
Enter the Activation Key found in the SafeNet email. Next, input the application PIN found in the email into the MobilePASS PIN field. Click Generate to generate the eToken number and then click Copy. Combine the OTP PIN and eToken in this order: OTP + eToken.
For security reasons, passwords are never sent out across the Internet. Instead a token will be sent to your email instead. A token is a one-time generated link that contains numbers and letters that'll allow you to reset your password. It cannot be reused and is only valid for seven days.
Note: The Default Administrator password is "0" typed out 48 times (see above). This is not changed by DigiCert. Check Use factory default digital signature PUK and enter 000000 and click Next. Note: The default PUK is 000000.
