Applicants for the 2024-2025 admission cycle
The new Casper test format includes both typed and video responses with a total of 14 scenarios, divided into 6 video response scenarios followed by 8 typed response scenarios.
For the scenarios in the video response section, you will be presented with a set of 2 questions, one at a time, and you will have 1 minute each to record your answer.
For the scenarios in the typed response section, you will have 5 minutes to respond to a set of 3 questions.
The entire test is expected to take 90-110 minutes to complete and applicants will be presented with 2 optional breaks:
an optional 10-minute break after the 6 scenarios in the video response section, and
an optional 5-minute break after the first four typed response scenarios.

Video-based scenarios will proceed in the following order:
A prompt indicating your role in the following scene (e.g. “you are a friend”, “you are a colleague”, etc.)
A short video scenario
An optional 30-second reflection page for you to consider the scenario
A response page
The initial prompt indicating your role will be displayed again at the top of the page as a reminder and you will be given 10 seconds to read the question before the recording starts.

Word-based scenarios will proceed in the following order:
A question or statement to consider. These are often short statements, sometimes only one or two sentences long.
An optional 30-second reflection page for you to consider the statement
A response page

*All responses must be answered using the appropriate medium (i.e., you cannot choose to record a video in the typed response section and vice versa). Speech-to-text software is not permitted, unless you have been pre-approved for testing accommodations.
