Choose from 12’ diameter all the way up to 30’! Bottomless tanks have deeper depths of 26”, 33”, and even 44'“ (on a limited basis). That’s up to 15,000 gallons! Installation
Bottomless stock tank are similar to traditional steel stock tanks, but you will need to assemble the tank and create a watertight barrier for the bottom of the tank. See below for options to seal the bottom. They arrive in panel sections (on a pallet), which you will need to assemble using the provided hardware and butyl tape to seal the seams.

How to seal a bottomless stock tank
Bottomless stock tanks don’t have a bottom, so you will need to create a watertight barrier with the ground as part of your installation. Most ranchers either pour a concrete slab or use bentonite clay to form a watertight bottom, but around pool liner will work too! Similar to other tanks, you will need to have a flat, level surface first.
Pool liners (overlap style)
A pool liner is the simplest and fastest way to seal a bottomless tank. Fortunately, round pool liners are available in most matching sizes (12’ round, 15’ round, etc.). Click here to shop pool liners!
Concrete bottom
For a long-lasting solution, many ranchers choose to pour a reinforced concrete bottom for their tanks.
Bentonite Clay
Bentonite clay is another option used by ranchers to create a watertight seal in the bottom of stock tanks and ponds. It’s cheaper and easier than concrete (and completely natural non-toxic). Typically sold in 50 lb bags, one bag can cover approximately 80-100 square feet. Approximately two 50 lb bags are needed for a 12’ bottomless stock tank.

At checkout, choose “liftgate service” (highly recommended), otherwise you will need to unload the tank or pallet yourself. Liftgate service is slightly more expensive, but without a forklift or multiple people, unloading it from the truck may be impossible.
Here’s how it works: Your tank will ship from Hastings facility in Nebraska and your driver will contact you to schedule a drop off. Since the truck will be making multiple deliveries along the way your lead time will vary between 1-2 weeks, and is dependent on a) how many deliveries are before you and b) how far from Nebraska you are located. Lastly, the driver is responsible for unloading the tank only to your curb or driveway. You are responsible to getting it to your backyard. If you don’t select liftgate service you will be responsible for unloading the tank or pallet yourself (liftgate service is highly recommended).
