Blockchain vs. Internet Revolution: Which Will Have the Bigger Impact? We can say that both have reshaped the way we interact with the world but while they share some similarities, they are also vastly different in their design, functionality, and potential impact. One key similarity between the two is that they both represent a shift away from centralized control and towards a decentralized network of nodes. The internet allowed for the democratization of information and communication, while blockchain technology enables the democratization of trust and financial transactions. One major difference between the two is their underlying design. The internet is a network of interconnected devices that allow for the transfer of information across borders and between people, while blockchain technology is a distributed ledger system that records transactions and stores them in an immutable and tamper-proof manner. The internet is designed to be open and accessible to all, while blockchain technology is designed to be secure and transparent. Additionally, the internet is largely unregulated, while blockchain technology is subject to a variety of legal and regulatory frameworks.Another key difference between the two is the potential impact they could have on society. The internet has transformed the way we communicate, learn, and do business, while blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we store and transfer value. While the internet has disrupted traditional industries such as journalism and retail, blockchain technology has the potential to disrupt the financial sector by providing a more secure and transparent way of conducting transactions. Both technologies have the potential to create significant economic and social change, but the blockchain revolution could potentially be more transformative in the long run.

I always find it amazing with such comparisons that the global integrated Telco networks and mobile devices .. there is 7.4 bn people on them.. don't get a mention... has any one tried running tcp/ip without a network under it... But wait... the internet stack was insecure in many ways... so x509 and pki systems were added.. IPSec, TLS , SMIME, https, secure DNS , OCSP, defence systems... Block chain maybe seen to have a secure data level structure but as for operational systems security.. pki and ZTA and overall systems mgt including software version control still need to be there ...

Huh... no. What a silly post. Blockchains operate on top of the Internet, which at best make them one of the many Internet applications. But more fundamentally, blockchains do not solve "the key problem" and hence will remain out of reach for mainstream people. Keep drinking your own Kool-Aid all you want, but stop passing it around.

Appreciate the hypothesis but not seeing the data that says blockchain will be “more transformative”. Why do you believe that? Not suggesting I disagree with rhe hypothesis.

New Era of New Startups. Onboarding operations could be crucial, but embracing new paradigms couldn't.

Though Core Scientific was willing to ink a deal with CoreWeave, the bitcoin miner has turned down the cloud provider’s offer to buy the company. CoreWeave and Core Scientific on Tuesday entered into various 12-year contracts whereby the bitcoin miner will offer roughly 200 megawatts of infrastructure to host CoreWeave’s high-performance computing services.CoreWeave followed that deal up by offering to buy all outstanding Core Scientific shares in cash for $5.75 per share. https://lnkd.in/e4AfF3UP
