On 10 October, the European Rubber Journal (ERJ), released a new ranking of global tyre companies.
The ranking is based on the sales of each enterprise in fiscal year 2022. Among the 75 tyre companies selected, there are 36 Chinese tyre companies (including Taiwan). Zhongce, Zhengxin, Sailun and Linglong, advanced into the top 20 global tyre companies.
Among them, Zhongce and Zhengxin ranked 9 and 10, the only two Chinese companies in the top ten.
Overall, the European tyre industry is still in a leading position in the world.
Michelin, as the world's largest tyre manufacturer, is far ahead of second-place Bridgestone.
Continental, in fourth place, is gradually closing the gap with Goodyear. Meanwhile, Pirelli is also leapfrogging Sumitomo Rubber in sixth place, seeking to overtake it. No. 8 Yokohama Rubber, also has a strong competitive edge, and strive to be among the top six. The company completed the acquisition of Trelleborg Wheel Systems this year, and sales have increased significantly.
