Do you get enough Battle Stars to complete the Battle Pass? ›

Battle Stars are not awarded beyond the amount needed to unlock everything in the Battle Pass. If the player does not use up their stars for the season, they will automatically be used to redeem the items chronologically in the Battle Pass.

All Battle Pass Items

To complete the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass, players will need to rank up to level 200. Once at the max level, you will have unlocked all 100+ rewards which are available in the Battle Pass. Players receive 5 Battle Stars per level, and these can be used to unlock items.

The additional 950 V-Bucks are only for players who purchased a season Battle Pass before subscribing to Fortnite Crew. The additional 950 V-Bucks are to cover the cost spent on the current Battle Pass which is included with your subscription. It is not a recurring monthly bonus.

From personal experience, not finishing the Battle Pass means you miss out on exclusive skins and items. It's a bummer, but life goes on! You just won't get all the goodies. No one's going to come knocking on your door about it!

Fortnite Currency Conversions

A battle pass costs 950 v-bucks which is equivalent to $9.50 USD. When purchasing V-bucks, you can't perfect the exact amount that you need for a specific purchase.

But as players have discovered, it can take an hour or more to go up a single level, so at around 100 hours in total, it's a huge time sink. Over on The Finals subreddit, players have been venting their frustration. "I don't see how this is sustainable for the game," says CBTNotTheGameKind.

If you do not purchase the Battle Pass, you can not level over 100.

Players without the paid version of the pass will still be able to make progression beyond level 100, however, access to bonus items will not be granted. The Free Battle Pass, costing no V-Bucks, contains several select items, including 300 V-Bucks.

If you receive a message in Fortnite that an item or some V-Bucks were removed from your account, this is because a refund or payment reversal was processed on your account. This usually happens when a refund request has been made or a chargeback has been issued with your payment provider.

If you don't have the new Battle Pass, you will get it automatically by subscribing. If you do have it, you will get 950 V-Bucks instead for a total of 1950!

Will old Fortnite Battle Passes ever return? ›

Do previous Fortnite battle passes or items from previous battle passes ever return? Items from Fortnite Battle Passes released after Chapter 5 Season 3 might be offered for purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop after 18 or more months from the Battle Pass' expiration.

What happens to unused Battle Stars in Fortnite? At the end of a Fortnite season, your unspent Battle Stars will be exchanged automatically for unclaimed rewards. Always remember this.

There are some things you can't gift:

Battle Pass Levels. V-Bucks. Real-money Offers (except Battle Pass) Items that are not currently in the Item Shop.

You can purchase up to 100 battle pass levels every season. You can only earn Battle Stars for the first 200 levels in the season. Any unspent Battle Stars will automatically be exchanged for unclaimed rewards at the end of the season.

Even though it can feel like cheating, buying all the levels will be the easiest and quickest way to unlock them without effort. You may unlock tiers under the previous Battle Pass system by purchasing Battle Stars using V-Bucks, which is also how you can buy Battle Stars in the new Battle Pass system.

In the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 pass, aka the OG Pass, the number of rewards has shrunk to 50, rather than the usual 100+. While some players are understandably not excited about that, it's partly because this bonus season is just a month long.
