- Hiroshima Castle
- The castle city of Hiroshima that flourished under the reign of the Mori, f*ckushima, and Asano houses has a rich history.
Hiroshima Castle built by Mori Terumoto in 1589 was designated as a national treasure in 1931, but was subsequently destroyed by the atomic bomb. It was rebuilt in 1958.
Today, as well as exhibits and artifacts relating to the castle on display inside, you can try on traditional samurai armor and pose for pictures.

- Shukkei-en Garden in the center of Hiroshima was created as a detached villa during the Edo period by the former feudal lord of Hiroshima Castle, Asano Nagaakira. The Asano family used this garden for leisure purposes.

- The Kintai Bridge is known as one of the three most famous and eccentrically designed bridges in Japan.
Spanning Yamaguchi’s Nishiki River - the biggest river in the prefecture with a width of 200m - the Kintai Bridge comprises of five wooden bridge sections constructed in 1673 by the 3rd Lord of Iwakuni, Kikawa Hiroyoshi.

- Experience Momiji-manju Home-baked , Scoop making
- If you go to Miyajima, you can have a momiji-manju cooking experience. In the Miyajima Traditional Craft Hall across the street and to the left as you exit the ferry terminal, there is a workshop area where you can experience and learn about traditional Miyajima crafts. On the 2nd floor, you can experience the ‘handmade momiji-manju workshop’, and on the 3rd floor you can experience the ‘wooden rice scoop carving workshop’.

- Hiroshima’s famous sake district ranks alongside the famous Fushimi area in Kyoto and the Nada district in Kobe. 30 minutes to the east of Hiroshima City is Saijo in Higashi-Hiroshima. Look to the east of Saijo Station and you will see a concentration of traditional Japanese sake breweries. Of course, the sake here is delicious, but walking around the old sake district and visiting the breweries makes for an enjoyable day out.
