Does it matter which horse you choose in Assassin's Creed Odyssey? ›

Ultimately, all three horses are basically identical in all meaningful ways - and this is despite the descriptions the game gives you. Markos introduces them as such: The Left Horse, a dark grey steed, "can cling to mountain passes like a goat".

Really though, across all of our playthroughs, we haven't noticed any difference in the speed, climbing ability, skittishness, or stamina of any of these horses that you can pick. This means you can choose any that you like the look of, as it will have no bearing over how you play the rest of the game.

This choice is up to you, but allowing Mulios to keep the horse is the least exciting option in terms of dialogue. However, it's also the easiest since you won't have to take the horse to either of the other characters.

Adonis's romance is probably the most complicated in the game. What's great about this relationship, is Adonis returning your feelings relies on the player choosing other dialogue options along with the "flirt" choices, and your actions in his quests.

You can either return the horse to Persephone, deliver it to Adonis, or allow the blind man to keep it. This decision will change the dialogue and the objectives you receive for the rest of the quest, so make sure to think about your decision carefully.

It comes down to personal preference, but the decision players are forced to make at the start of Assassin's Creed Odyssey essentially determines who is the hero and who is the villain. Although the decision has an impact, it doesn't place any restrictions on players.
