Artificer: Artisan
Artisans use their magic and ingenuity to complete practical work with skill and speed. Using magical tools and constructed servants, Artisans can fit into many different occupations, and make for excellent jacks-of-all-trades.

3rd level Artisan feature
You learn the mending cantrip. If you already know this cantrip, you learn another cantrip from the artificer spell list of your choice instead.
Artisan Spells
3rd level Artisan feature
You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Artisan Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.
Level | Spells |
---|---|
3rd | Heroism, Tenser's Floating Disk |
5th | Locate Object, Shatter |
9th | Aura of Vitality, Leomund's Tiny Hut |
13th | Blight, Fire Shield |
17th | Passwall, Wall of Force |
All-Purpose Tool
3rd level Artisan feature
Your ability to create and use different tools is enhanced. You can produce an All-Purpose Tool (TCoE, p. 119) using The Right Tool for the Job. You can attune to it the instant you create it, and attuning to it doesn't count against the number of magic items you can normally attune to.
This magic item is uncommon (+1). It becomes rare (+2) when you reach 9th level, then becomes very rare (+3) when you reach 15th level. It immediately vanishes if you use The Right Tool for the Job again or if you die.
Loyal Apprentice
3rd level Artisan feature
Your tinkering has borne you a helpful companion. Using an All-Purpose Tool, you can take an action to magically create a hom*onculus servant (TCoE, p. 21) in an unoccupied space on a horizontal surface within 5 feet of you. A hom*onculus servant created this way doesn't require a heart, but otherwise behaves identically to those created with an infusion.
Once you create a hom*onculus servant this way, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest or until you expend a spell slot to create one. You can only have one hom*onculus servant at a time, and if you create a new one the first one immediately vanishes.
Law of the Instrument
5th level Artisan feature
You've developed a great command of spellcasting through tools, enhancing the healing and damage effects you create while using them. Whenever you cast a spell using an All-Purpose Tool as the spellcasting focus, you gain a bonus to one roll of the spell. That roll must restore hit points or be a damage roll, and the bonus equals your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).
Measure Twice, Cut Once
9th level Artisan feature
You've refined your skills to the point of near perfection, enabling a consistent quality of work. Whenever you make an ability check that uses your proficiency with a tool, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
True Craftsmanship
15th level Artisan feature
You've mastered the sciences of manipulating materials. You can cast creation at 6th-level and fabricate without expending a spell slot and without preparing the spell, provided you use an All-Purpose Tool as the spellcasting focus. Once you cast either spell with this feature, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest.
