It depends on your category more than anything else. I sell one-off used items & PL's well over doubled my sales b/c it's a very competitive category. Of my last 30 sales, approx 25 are PL's. It was a huge game changer for me. YMMV.
One tip, I had experimented with trying it, without much luck until I promoted ALL my listings. That made a big difference to me. I just use standard PL's, not the Advanced.
eBay Promoted Listings might be very valuable to a business selling in a highly competitive category. Similarly, they might hold very little value to a business selling unique products with little competition.
It depends on what you sell. If you sell items that have a lot of other sellers selling identical items it is probably worth it if you items are not showing on the first page of search results. Your prices also have to competitive.
Last click attribution ensures that a sale is only attributed once across Promoted Listings campaigns. If a buyer clicks on a general ad and then purchases any of your promoted items within 30 days, it will be considered a promoted sale and the ad fee for the purchased item will be charged.
The listings to be promoted must be fixed-price listings. Priority campaigns do not support auction listings. The listings to be promoted must be listed in the country for which they will be promoted. The currency for the listings to be promoted must match the country for which they will be promoted.
Yes, it costs extra. You're volunteering to give eBay more fees in exchange for them showing your item in more locations. That link is for Promoted Listings Standard (pay fee at time of sale).
Choose the right listing format, create a concise and informative title, add high-quality pictures, make your listings mobile-friendly, use optional upgrades – there are a number of features that will increase your items visibility and boost your sales.
