Where do Samsung archived photos go? ›

Any photos that you archive: Will still be in any albums that they were added to, search results, and folders on your device.

A deleted message goes into the trash folder, but an archived message is defaulted to the Archive folder or All Mail on Gmail / Google Apps.

Both archived and deleted messages disappear from your inbox. The difference is an archived email is moved to the archive or "All Mail" folder, while a deleted message moves to the "Trash" folder.

Data archives can be stored on low-cost hard disk drives (HDDs), tape or optical storage that is generally slower than performance disk or flash drives. Archive storage also reduces the volume of data that must be backed up.

Email archiving allows you to keep a record of everything sent and received, ensuring that you always have a copy of your messages and any documents attached. By archiving your important data and documents, they're stored safely in a separate folder—meaning there's less chance you'll delete or lose them.

You can get messages from all archived chats since archiving a chat does nothing other than hide it from the main display. If you're concerned about missing them, remember that you'll receive a notification for each new message even if you've archived the chat.

Overview: Archiving a conversation will allow for inbound and outbound SMS traffic to continue, but will remove the conversation from your "conversation" view until a message is either sent or received within that conversation.

The archive wouldn't delete the picture or move it to a different folder, it would just hide that picture from the main view window in the gallery app, but you'll still find it in the actual folder where it was.

The photos you store in the Archive are not deleted or changed by Google Photos. It's only up to you to decide what to do with archived photos and you can leave them there indefinitely. However, the photos and videos in the Archive do take up storage space and count towards your storage quota.

The purpose of archiving is to hide certain items from your main library without deleting them. Archiving items does not consume any extra storage quota. The archived photos and videos remain accessible and searchable within the archive section of Google Photos.

Search for archived emails within "All Mail"

To find archived emails, click on the "All Mail" label and scroll through the messages until you find the one you want. Alternatively, you can search for the message using Gmail's search bar.

The archive chat feature allows you to hide an individual or group chat from your chats list to better organize your conversations. You can view your archived chats by navigating to the bottom of the Chats list. Note: Archiving an individual or group chat won't delete the chat or group.
