Credit Card Eligibility
To apply for an Emirates Islamic Credit Card, you must be at least 21 years old and meet the eligibility requirement listed below:
- If you’re employed, you need to meet the minimum income requirement for the card. To know more about the minimum income criteria, please click here.
- If you own a business, i.e. self-employed, you can apply for a credit card if your computed income meets the minimum income criteria. To know more, please click here.
- If you’re unemployed or you do not meet the minimum income criteria, you need to open a Fixed Deposit Account with Emirates Islamic which holds the minimum deposit required for the card you’re applying for
If your credit score is low or you have a high debt-burden ratio, your application may be rejected.

- Original Emirates ID or passport
- Latest salary certificate (for employed customers)
- Trade license (for self-employed customers)
- Bank statement for the last three months
- Security cheque (if applicable)
How to Apply?
Fees and Charges
Depending on the type of Emirates Islamic Credit Card you choose, a joining fee and annual membership fees may apply.
If these fees apply to the card you choose, you’ll be informed at the time of application.
The joining fee is a one-time fee and will be billed to you in your first statement. Annual membership fees will be billed annually in your statement.

How long will it take for my credit card application to be processed?
Your credit card application will be processed within 7 to 10 working days. Once your application is accepted, your card will be delivered to you within 3 to 5 working days.
What are the advantages of a credit card?
Credit cards are easier to carry than large amounts of cash. You can use your credit card safely to shop online and anywhere. Most banks will give you free credit for a month as long as you repay your dues on time.
Are there any fees for issuing a credit card?
Some credit cards are free of charge. Depending on the type of card you choose, a joining fee and annual membership fees may apply.

You can withdraw cash for a small fee at any Emirates Islamic ATM or at more than 780,000 ATMs around the world displaying the VISA logo.
