When you tap an amiibo, that character appears as a Figure Player (FP) in the game! (Note that you can't control these characters in battle.)

FP think on their own and fight for you! Watch their personalities and capabilities develop through battle!
Strengthen with Spirits
Give your FP powers from spirits you have and watch them grow even stronger, gaining EXP, learning skills and more!
