Today i have converted airtel physical sim to esim. My physical sim is deactivated but esim is not showing network. I can make and receive calls, use internet. Iphone 13 is showing no sim. I was at 17.3 public bet version that I upgraded to 17.4 public bet but issue is still there. Can we raise defect for it?

I am facing the exact same problem in my iphone 15. After successfully updating to Airtel eSim from physical sim, the network bars are not visible on my phone. But I am able to make and receive calls and also use the Internet. Why is this so??? Any solution to the problem???

I was able to get a fix for this issue if you are able to receive SMS then place another esim request from the My Airtel App and once that sim profile is configured then under mobile service the turn of the previous line and delete the esim you should be able to see the network bars.

Did you manage to resolve this issue? I also noticed that the hotspot is also greyed out. Does anyone face the same after upgrading to eSIM

My issue got resolved. Steps to resolve:
- Convert physical sim to eSim ( This is the step where issue is there)
- Wait for sms service to be activated
- Request for new airtel eSim for the same device and install it
- Reboot the device
- Your issue is solved

I’ve had the same issue. In my case, something went wrong (I guess) while I was trying to convert a physical Airtel sim to an eSIM (following the steps on the Airtel app). Before this, there were cellular network bars showing. Post the eSIM activation, the cellular bars kept fluctuating for more than 24 hours and I don’t seem to have any network. The physical sim slot says SOS where the network bars usually show up in the top right of the iPhone screen.
@kedar512:
Since I don’t have network, I’m unable to send any messages. How were you able to request for the new Airtel eSIM?

Same problem on my iPhone 13pro as well. Ever since I switched to eSIM on Airtel this morning, the network bars have disappeared although I’m able to make, receive calls and use internet on my phone. Can someone guide me step by step to resolve this issue.

Follow the steps, Your issue will be resolved-
Go to Airtel Thanks App > Upgrade to eSIM > A pop will come eSIM detected transfer eSIM to new device > Ignore that pop-up > Select eSIM for this device and request again for the same > Setup the eSIM and Problem will get resolved.
This will only work after your sms service will be activated.

Trying again worked for me. Like Serivision and others said here.
Go to Airtel Thanks App > Upgrade to eSIM in the SHORTCUTS block (you may need to tap on show more) > A pop will come eSIM detected transfer eSIM to new device (this is the only option - so tap on it though you are not really transferring eSIM to another device) > Select eSIM for this device and request again for the same (Get EID from Settings > General > about) > Wait for setup to complete. Now go to Settings > Mobile Service > Add eSIM . Now you should see Setup eSIM and tap on it. Problem will get resolved.
Actually you should be able to see a "Setup Mobile Service" notification when you go to "Settings" right in the top. You should be able to use that as well.

Guys I also face the same issue …but solution of @baqar786 worked partially for me . Request for new e sim again using same no. Activate it while notification comes . After it gets activated delete old line of same no. Be careful dont delete both lines if so then you will have to visit sim store for new sim card.
