Our journey building a woman-first financial company began in 2014 with a team of industry experts with decades of experience on Wall Street — even as we were told "women don’t need their own investing platform.”
Today, with a community of more than 3 million,** a $53 million Series B funding round, tens of thousands of people using Ellevest, and $2 billion in assets under management, we get that statement less often.

Chief Investment Officer, She/Her
Dr. Kwan is a CFA® charterholder with a PhD in engineering economic systems from Stanford and a BS in computer science and applied math from Brown. With more than 30 years of experience, she’s held positions at Charles Schwab and Financial Engines.
