Now available on the Zillow app, the "hide homes" tool makes the shopping experience faster, simpler and easier by allowing users to press a button on the home listing page that prevents the home from showing up in future search results. Users can also bring back a property if they change their mind.

Simply press the “hide home” icon and the listing won't appear in future search results. By focusing on the remaining listings, you can hone in on what you're looking for and decrease distractions. If you decide to revisit the property, your hidden homes can be found — and shown — under “more” on the Zillow app.

Now available on the Zillow app, the "hide homes" tool saves users time and frustration by filtering out individual properties at the push of a button so they don't show up in future search results. Zillow says it launched the tool after multiple users requested a "hide this property" option during their home search.

As Zillow will need to pull the listing from MLS to make it appear on the website, the process of having a listing appear on Zillow is not always immediate. This is one of the most common reasons that certain houses do not show up on Zillow.

Sellers can see, in real time, the number of times their listing has been viewed or saved by potential home buyers, and how that activity compares to similar homes on the market.

Click on the tile for your home to load the property page. If you have not already claimed your home on Zillow, please follow these steps. Once you have claimed your home, click on the Edit Facts icon from the Owner View of the property page. Click the check box for Hide photos displayed on your home's Zillow page.

If you find a fake housing listing on Zillow or another real estate website, click “report listing” and select the option that says the listing seems to be fraudulent or illegal. If you think you have been scammed, report it to the Federal Trade Commission.

What does “listing removed” mean on Zillow? “Listing removed” means the seller has decided to take the house off market – it usually does not mean that the house was sold.

Comparable Homes Sales

A major factor impacting your home's Zestimate is recent sales activity of comparable properties in your immediate area. If nearby homes similar to yours have sold for lower prices than Zillow's model predicted, it will adjust its value estimation down accordingly.

"When a listing is not available on Zillow, it is because we have not yet gotten the information from county records on that particular address. You will not be able to claim this address on Zillow as it does not exist on our platform at the moment.

Zestimates may not reflect improvements, mistakes in property taxes paid, or exceptions to tax assessments. Since Zestimate also accounts for turnover rate, estimates for homes kept long periods of time may not be accurate.

One of the primary reasons a Zestimate might not be displayed is the availability and accuracy of data. If Zillow lacks sufficient, reliable data for a particular property, it may choose not to provide a Zestimate to avoid potential inaccuracies.

Emails filled with spelling and grammatical errors are usually a sign of fraud. British spelling such as “favour” instead of “favor” is also a sign of a rental scam. Messages involving stories of family or financial issues, or of agents who charge too high a premium are usually fraud.

Click on the Edit Facts icon from the Owner View of the property page. To remove a photo, click on an individual photo and click Remove Photo. Remove all your photos, then select Save Changes. Having problems getting this done at Zillow?
