Black Skinny Jeans
I know – Gen Z has declared war on skinny jeans. And mom jeans are a fantastic way to change up an outfit. But nothing can beat or replace the classic, clean look of a dark pair of skinny jeans. While providing a lovely, feminine silhouette for any body type, they also won’t distract from the real star of the show: your beautiful face! The best part about dark skinnies is that they can be dressed up with a pretty blouse and heels, or casually with a tee and sneakers. Black skinny jeans will never let you down.
Classic Heels
While different heels go in and out of style – strappy, chunky, lace-up, or platform – one heel never goes out of style: the classic pump. Sometimes, all you need to class up an outfit in a snap is a pair of classic heels. They immediately offer us a little extra height, elongate our legs, and can be slipped on and off in a moment’s notice. Whether you’re wearing these with jeans, a pencil skirt, pantsuit, or fancy dress, you can never go wrong with a simple pair of heels.
A White V-Neck Tee
Hear us out – while this may seem basic (even too basic), we’ve often found that less is more when it comes to lasting closet essentials. A white tee can go with absolutely anything: dress it up with a blazer or by tucking it into a maxi skirt, or be casual and cool, letting it hang untucked from your favorite shorts. White tees aren’t flashy, but they’re always a good choice and allow for other pieces to shine, while providing a great base to build upon.
It’s easy to get caught up and obsessed with the latest floral maxi dress craze we see scrolling through our feeds, but the little black dress hasn’t ever stopped being a classic choice that provides a sense of mystery, femininity, and timelessness to its wearer. Having a go-to LBD in your closet will always make those hard decisions easier, knowing it’s a wonderful choice for almost any occasion.
A Chunky Pullover Sweater
If you’ve got to stay warm, you may as well do it with some style! As soon as the autumn leaves start turning, and all the way until spring begins to warm up, chunky sweaters are an easy, simple piece that will always help us feel both put-together and appropriate for the season. Tuck it into a skirt with some knee-high boots or pair it with your favorite jeans — a chunky sweater can’t look bad.
A Leather Jacket
The plainest of ensembles can be spiced up in less than 10 seconds thanks to leather jackets. Plus, not only are there countless faux-leather options out there that actually feel like real leather, but the leather jacket pairs perfectly with almost anything. Wear it with a floral, feminine dress to add some edge to your look, or dress up what would’ve been a too-basic jeans and t-shirt outfit.
A Pea Coat
We still want to look chic even when we’re forced to bundle up in the colder seasons, right? Thankfully, there are endless coats out there to choose from, but nothing beats the pea coat in style and functionality. Coming in an incredibly wide variety of colors (try red if you’re feeling bold!), this coat goes with any outfit out there, will never go out of style, provides a sophisticated look, and will actually keep you warm.
