1. Five cards or less
Obviously, there are some non-negotiable essentials — for instance, an ID and credit card (get those points!) are must-haves. We're also on board with carrying a subway card or metro pass, or an access card for work. Everything else? You likely don't need it, or you shouldn't be carrying it anyway [looks at your social security card]. Try leavingthe edited pile at home for a weekand see how it feels. 4. Carry less cash
