A 2.4 GPA, or Grade Point Average, is equivalent to a C+ letter grade on a 4.0 GPA scale, and a percentage grade of 77–79.
Is a 2.4 GPA Good?
A 2.4 is more than half a point under the national average GPA of 3.0. Though it isn’t the worst, it’s still low. Luckily, it won’t take much to raise your GPA over the 2.5 mark, or even over a 3.0 if you have a few left semesters before graduation.
For high school students
For colleges and university admissions offices, a 2.4 GPA isn’t worth a second look. A high GPA shows you take your studies seriously.
For college students
You’re just under the minimum GPA for application to most graduate programs. If you completed an impressive internship during your undergraduate studies, you may stand a chance at being admitted or even entering the workforce. Still, a higher GPA would give you many more options.
